a music marketing specialist and an Aussie-Canadian, now based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
I launched Just Really Good in 2019 out of a desire to work with a diverse range of artists from different backgrounds and genres and to help bridge the gap for Canadian, Australian & American artists growing their audiences at home and overseas.
Born with a natural obsession for all things musical and a keen photographer’s eye, after completing a Bachelor of Visual Communication I spent almost ten years photographing musicians and had some unforgettable shoots with artists like Slash, Calvin Harris and The Vines.
In 2011, I made the switch to the label world and have been part of some incredible marketing & artist management teams at:
Sony Music Australia
I was a Content Manager in Australian Artists Marketing managing campaigns for Montaigne, Drapht, The Paper Kites, One Day, Holy Holy, Josh Pyke, Guy Sebastian & many more.
Macro Music Management
I was Head of Recorded Music for their roster of independent artists and labels including Xavier Rudd, Seth Sentry, Drapht, Dead Letter Circus & Ceres. Together we also built Macro Events & Macro Merch divisions, of which I also managed the marketing.
Dine Alone Records
I was a Marketing Manager heading up international release campaigns for artists including City and Colour, The Dandy Warhols & Pkew Pkew Pkew.
Sonic Unyon Records
I was their Label Manager working closely with artists including Terra Lightfoot & Basement Revolver on releases and tour marketing.
SINCE MY START AT SONY MUSIC, I’VE BEEN PLANNING AND EXECUTING MUSIC RELEASES THAT MAKE A UNIQUE IMPACT ON THE WORLD
I love watching artists develop and helping them create genuine connections with listeners who become true fans.
Now more than ever, there’s so much we can do to build a solid music career that grows steadily over time and considers recorded music the root that multiple branches of revenue can grow from.
If you’re a record label, artist manager or independent artist trying to cut through the noise of 100,000+ new tracks being added to Spotify every day (sheesh!), let’s chat about teaming up, getting creative and making a lasting impact.
